Les Petits Carreaux x Atelier TB
Customer Portrait
How did you come up with the name Les Petits Carreaux?
When we took over the brewery, the establishment was already called that. It's certainly due to the fact that the street is called "Les Petits Carreaux." Knowing that Les Petits Carreaux has existed for over 100 years. We were one of the first breweries in the Montorgueil district. At the time of the market halls, it was a butcher's shop, whose typical rustic and traditional spirit we have retained.
Tell us your story.
We were attracted to the Montorgeuil district for its unique "Small Village" feel in the heart of Paris. We wanted to keep the old-world charm and a "grandmother's" feel with our mismatched vintage 1930s-style plates and pretty Louis XVI-style wall mirrors. Our upstairs room is very 1930s-style. We called on our artisan painter "Pierrick Allemand" who painted us three pretty canvases, two of which are in the spirit of a covered butcher's shop and the third "The National 7 road workers".
What are your specialties?
Our specialty is traditional French cuisine, homemade with only fresh produce. Our signature à la carte dishes include beef bourguignon, duck leg, and knife-cut sausage.
What are your future plans?
We would like to have a second or more in the same spirit and why not also abroad!
Why did you choose Atelier TB to make your aprons?
We were approached by a nice saleswoman. She showed us your catalog with some very pretty apron designs, and the fact that they were made in France was a big plus. We are delighted with the aprons and the sleeveless down jackets, because the quality is very good and the "Petits Carreaux" embroidery is very well done!
Tell us an anecdote about Les Petits Carreaux.
Ever since we embellished our beautiful storefront with high-end artificial plants, all the tourists stop to take pictures.
