The story behind our French aprons.
Did you know that the Vosges region was once renowned for its textile industry? Globalization may have taken its toll on much of the local expertise, but it hasn’t dampened our determination. In January 2018, we reopened a former factory in Épinal to begin manufacturing... aprons. Why the apron? Because this garment, a symbol of craftsmanship, is also at the heart of the family history of Thomas, the brand’s founder. Five generations of Bragards before him had worked as apron makers in Épinal.
Today, we’re proud to have breathed new life into this workshop, where we work every day to restore the kitchen apron to its former glory. Everything is made on-site: from cutting the 100% natural fabrics to assembly and customization. Everything, except for the cotton, which doesn’t yet grow in the Vosges. This responsible approach has earned our aprons France Terre Textile certification.

We’ve told you that we do everything in-house here in Epinal, and that naturally includes customization. All of our unisex aprons can be customized with embroidery. Whether it’s a nickname, a chef’s name, or even a logo, your ideas are our future creations! Because every self-respecting chef deserves a personalized apron to shine in the kitchen. The embroidery is perfectly placed in the center of the front panel of our long aprons so it’s clearly visible. You can choose from a variety of fonts and thread colors. Your apron will then be delivered in a beautiful individual pouch made from recycled fabric scraps. Nothing is left to chance—we want you to fall in love with your apron.
