Nicolas Bragard opens his tailor shop in Saint-Etienne-les-Remiremont in the Vosges 🌲
1874
Marie Louise Thomas started her traveling haberdashery and novelty goods business in Saulxures-sur-Moselotte to supplement the meager income from the family farm.
1903
His daughter Angèle took over the business and, after marrying Eugène Bragard, opened her own store in the village, where she sold both formal wear and work clothes.
1933
His son Henri left the family business to launch a line of innovative clothing for artisans, which he sold directly to customers. He designed a butcher’s apron made of sturdy canvas from the Vosges region, which would soon become standard issue for the entire profession.
Together with his wife Simone, he expanded his collections to include all food service professions, and the company gained widespread national recognition.

1977
Gilles Bragard founded the Club des Chefs des Chefs, which brings together the chefs of heads of state from around the world.
With the support of his wife Monica, who designs all the collections, he expanded the company internationally and established eight subsidiaries in Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East. Production is handled by more than 1,000 seamstresses in the Vosges region.
1994
Faced with fierce international competition, the company partnered with a financial backer that would enable it to carry out the now-necessary relocation of its manufacturing operations.
Gilles Bragard led the company until 2012, when it was acquired by a Scandinavian investment fund. The workforce continued to shrink, and the company’s new owners left the historic Epinal site in 2015.
2017
Thomas Bragard, a representative of the fifth generation of the Bragard family, founded Atelier TB and took over the family's production facility in Épinal.

The Atelier is certified by the France Terre Textile label, which guarantees that at least 75% of the production steps took place in the Vosges.

A new production line is being launched at our factory in the Vosges, dedicated entirely to the manufacture of 100% made-in-France T-shirts for men, women, and children.
Our goal is to make this wardrobe staple accessible by optimizing production costs as much as possible, without compromising on fair wages for our seamstresses.

Business is picking up steam and requires more space.
We are renovating and revitalizing the 1,450 m² family-owned factory, which has been abandoned for nearly 30 years.
With new machinery and new human and technical resources, this is (already) the beginning of a new era.
