Tell us about Maison Cœur
Maison Cœur takes its name from my last name, Cœur. We are an artisanal pastry, chocolate, confectionery, and ice cream shop. We also offer a tea room for our customers.
Why did you decide to settle in Combourg?
Beyond the city's charm, we quickly saw the potential of our concept, as there were no similar businesses within 35 km. This is why we chose to set up shop in Combourg, a small town, rather than Rennes or Saint-Malo. Today, we are happy to be visited by regular customers, not just those passing through, as might have been the case in a large city.
Why did you open two locations?
We opened two locations because we didn't really have a choice in Combourg. Commercial rental space is very rare here, and we especially wanted a laboratory that opened onto the street. We are completely transparent about the production of our products, and it was essential for us that our customers be able to see behind the scenes of our daily work.
What are your specialties?
Our specialties are diverse: pastries, chocolates... We opened only 5 months ago and for the moment no specialty has really been developed.
Why did you choose Atelier TB to make your jackets and aprons?
To begin with, we had a good feeling with your salesperson. And then Atelier TB is French. Finally, I was a little tired of giving my money to Bragard for several years. I might as well work with a small, growing company. So we chose the Newlook denim jackets and the Bamba denim aprons .
